NoKit State was created in April 2020 in response to Covid-19 by our incredible teaching team. As our training space in Cardiff was closed due to the lockdown our circus teachers started to organise themselves and began volunteering their time to give free online classes to our community of class attenders and beyond.
The NoKit State name came from these classes being able to be done at home, with no specialist circus equipment. Nearly 1800 adults and children took part in free NoKit State digital classes from March - November 2020 with over £2600 donated to the teachers by generous digital class attendees via their GoFund Me campaign.
