The Square Mile Partnership are very excited to bring a summer of bamboo fun and events in East Cardiff.

This year we are exploring UK grown bamboo with the communities of Splott, Tremorfa and Adamsdown - how can we all be inspired to create, play and imagine using one of the most incredible sustainable materials on the planet?

The main event Gŵyl Parc Fest - Bamboo will be held in Anderson Fields CF24 2AE on Saturday 31 August, starting with a parade down Clifton Street.

Summer Programme Information Live on Tuesday 16 July.

Over the summer holidays local artists, makers, and community groups will connect, exchange ideas and work together to explore Bamboo through a programme of fun, creative, and accessible activities including crafts, circus, dance, music and play. The Square Mile Summer Programme is free to local people taking place in community venues across Splott, Tremorfa and Adamsdown.

The summer programme will culminate in the annual festival Gŵyl Parc Fest - Bamboo 2024, taking place in August in Anderson Fields.  There will be a parade down Clifton Street, followed by a Bamboo take-over of Anderson Fields. It will be another extraordinary day of community celebration, performances, bamboo installations, food, music, making and much more! There will also be an opportunity to see NoFit State’s new show BAMBOO as part of the festival.

Gŵyl Parc Fest - Bamboo 2024 is produced by the Square Mile Partnership - a celebration of the people of Splott, Tremorfa and Adamsdown.

Stay tuned here for more updates on the festival and summer programme.
