Community Space Extended for Summer 2024

Community space has been an amazing opportunity for us to provide a sense of warmth and security for the people of Splott, Adamsdown and Tremorfa. Especially with the increasing cost of living and struggles to keep homes well heated, our community space is our way of providing a welcoming ‘home from home’ environment, with chill out sofa space, toys and books for kids and a calm co-working place.

Community space has started running in our building at Four Elms every Tuesday from 10am – 5pm for the local community!

What to expect?

In our community space, you can expect to find a warm welcoming space with activities as well as a quiet room, depending on what you need. There are circus activities, crafts, food, showers, space to work and a place to get warm and find support. Our lovely community team will be around all day to help with any questions you might have and tell you about the activities that day.

What an average Tuesday community space looks like:

  • 10:00am – 5pm - Soft play, snacks, hot drinks, quiet coworking space and social community space
  • 12:30pm – 1:00pm - FREE soup lunch
  • 1:30pm – 2:30pm - Adults Wellbeing Hour, journaling, time to talk and share stories and encouragement with others
  • 3.30pm - 4.30pm - Family Circus Session

Facilities:

  • We have 2 hot showers (one of which is wheelchair friendly) and clean towels available
  • There is a microwave and hot drinks available for you at any time
  • There are tables, chairs, places to charge your electronics and free wifi
  • There is a large soft floor mat in our main space, making it the perfect safe space to get active and try some circus for people of any age

What people say about our community space:

“It's so warm and cosy”

“We love it here, it’s such a safe space for my children”

There’s no need to book, just drop-in any Tuesday between 10am – 5pm.
