Transitions is a circus sector development programme, run by NoFit State Circus and funded by the Arts Council of Wales. Designed to provide circus artists and professionals with vital support as they transition between key stages in their careers, the programme has offered a wide range of specialised training, financial investment and professional advice to professionals based all over Wales.

Building on the first year of the project, the renewed programme will focus on providing support for four main groups:

Young Artists - those between the ages of 16 and 25 and taking their first steps into the circus profession

Emergent Artists - individuals and companies within the first 7 years of their circus careers

Teachers - those whose profession is concerned with teaching circus skills

Professionals - Those who have established themselves in the circus sector who wish to take their career to the next level.

The activities will be split into 4 main areas of support for the circus sector in Wales:

circus skills development

Offering a chance to develop technical and creative skills through sessions delivered by a programme of visiting artists, aimed at circus practitioners and teachers at different levels

Professional Skills Development
