Crew Open Call-Out

NoFit State are seeking 2 willing and useful crew members to join our Big Top Touring team for the creation and tour of our brand-new production for 2026.

Our Big Top shows tour all over the UK and EU: we work together, eat together, live and laugh together see it being as more of a lifestyle than just a job.

During the build and strikes the whole company are involved with putting the Big Top up and setting/packing things up and individual crew members generally take the lead on specific areas.

During the show time everyone has a dedicated role, either in backstage or front of house, depending on their strengths and the needs of the operation. Outside of showtime, crew members work alongside the production team taking care of the daily preparation and maintenance and generally looking after the site.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • A number of relevant and useful skills. We consider useful skills to us include: • HGV license
  • metal working skills
  • wood working skills
  • SIA license holders
  • LX/AV/SFX operation abilities
  • Technical knowledge
  • rigging qualifications
  • mechanical experience (HGV especially)
  • plumbing knowledge
  • forks tickets
  • FOH experience
  • tent building experience
  • Bar work/hospitality
  • The desire and willingness to muck in and do what needs to be done to keep the show on the road.
  • Be a team player capable of taking both instructions and initiative and supporting those around you
  • The strength and fitness required to work a largely physical, outdoor job.
  • The right to work within the UK and a valid passport on which you can travel in and out of the EU.

Preferably (but not essential) you would also have your own live-in vehicles/caravan and be able to move it yourself each stand. For those who are unable to do so we have rooms in bunk wagons.

The Circus life can be hard work and not always glamorous, but it is incredibly rewarding and a joyful way of life.

If this sounds like you, please send us:

  • CV including referees, and a
  • Short covering letter.

If you need to/prefer to submit your application in a different format/way, please let us know.

Please send these to [email protected] with the subject line Crew Application by Friday 6 February 2026. We will be contacting people in the first week of February to organise interview times.
