Sound Engineer – BIANCO 2014
NoFit State Circus
NoFit State are looking for a Sound Engineer for the 2014 tour of BIANCO.
Currently BIANCO is touring from April until September 2014 in the UK and Europe in the company’s iconic Big Top.
Key roles, essential qualities and experience:
Willingness to live as part of a travelling circus community;
Ability to maintain a positive outlook at all times;
Mixing a live four piece multi-instrumental band;
Managing radio mics in a multi speaker 360 degree environment;
Playback of sound cues in a theatre show context;
Being a keen and active part of the installation and takedown of the tent and technical infrastructure;
Ability to improvise, work under stress, and do what is needed to keep the show on the road;
Ability to work both independently and as a team and oversee crew and volunteers where necessary;
Desirable qualities and experience:
Experience of Allen and Heath I live desk;
Own drivers licence and vehicle;
Experience of working in Big Tops;
Sound editing/sound scape/effect composition;
Recording live and re dubbing/mixing for CD production.

National Theatre Wales, NoFit State Circus and Joylab are looking for a Project Manager to assist in the efficient operation of their project to the Digital Arts Research and Development on behalf of Nesta in Wales, Arts Council of Wales and the AHRC.
The project runs from January to August 2014.

Open call for Production Freelancers
NoFit State Circus
NoFit State Circus are looking to extend their address book of freelancers working in production, particularly at management level. We are especially looking for people interested in international tented touring, both for short and long contracts from 2014 onwards.
We are currently accepting CVs and letters of interest from:
Stage Managers, Production Managers, Company Managers, Technical Managers and any combination of these.
We are interested in people who come from a number of routes. For example:
- Stage Managers with a strong technical background
- Production Managers with experience in Company Management
- Company Stage Managers with non-theatre touring experience
- Technical Managers who have worked in festivals and events
- Company Managers with a background in circus performance, fitness training or physiotherapy
Experience in circus is preferable but not always necessary if skills are transferable. What is essential is a willingness to cross traditional roles and work as a team to keep the show on the road. All applicants need to be great communicators, willing to multitask and shift between different types of task, and able to think far outside of any boxes. They must have a strong curiosity to work with NoFit State and contemporary circus, and be willing to embrace the travelling circus lifestyle.
