Covid-19 precautions

Find out about the Covid-19 precautions at our Big Top shows.

Important Update: Lexicon still going ahead with social distancing

NoFit State will continue with the planned run of Lexicon in the Big Top in Sophia Gardens until January 15th but have reduced the audience capacity for all performances after December 26th to comply with the new Welsh Government regulations.

As a result, all performances after December 26th will be socially distanced and we will continue to maintain all our previous anti-Covid measures to keep everyone safe.

Unfortunately, as a result of the newly reduced audience capacity, we will be contacting some of the most recent bookers to explain that they will no longer to able to see the performance of their choice and offer them either tickets to an alternative performance or a refund. If you don't hear from us then your tickets are secure and you can visit the Big Top in the normal way.

Our Box Office team are very busy at the moment so please bear with us as we work through the changes we need to make. Thank you for your understanding.

We’re really excited to be welcoming you back into the Big Top after all this time, and we hope you are looking forward to your visit!

We’ll be following all government guidelines around Covid-19 safety and want you to feel confident and prepared for your visit to us. Take a look at our Covid-19 safety precautions below so that you know what to expect, and please be considerate of other audience members when you attend, so that everyone can enjoy the show!

Our Covid-19 Precautions

We have a Covid-19 safety team, who are constantly reviewing the latest government guidance. We will always follow government guidance in full. If government guidance changes then the regulations and recommendations below may change as well.

·       Our staff and performers are tested for Covid-19 every other day

·       Before each performance the Big Top and all enclosed public areas will be disinfected utilising a sanitisation fogging machine

·       All touchpoints (seating, handrails, private and public communal areas of the site etc) will be cleaned in-between each performance or more often if necessary

·       Hand washing facilities and hand sanitiser stations will be available throughout the site

·      Unless you are medically exempt, we ask that everyone over the age of 11 wears a face mask when inside the event site

·       We are encouraging everyone to take a lateral flow test before attending a performance, even if you already have a valid NHS Covid Pass

Covid Passes

NHS Covid Passes are now required by law for those attending indoor performances in Wales.

Everyone aged 18+ watching an indoor show in Wales needs to present an NHS Covid Pass or proof of negative lateral flow test result from within the previous 24 hours.

Please help everyone in your group to prepare their NHS Covid Passes in advance, we don't want you to miss any of the show!

You can find out how to get your NHS Covid Pass here.

The NHS Covid Pass can be accessed online and will produce a 2D barcode which you will need to show before entry. The barcode can be shown on your phone, downloaded into an Apple or Google wallet, or downloaded and printed as a PDF.

If you cannot access the NHS Covid Pass, you can show your proof of vaccination letter (your vaccine card is not an official document and cannot be used), or complete a negative lateral flow test no more than 24 hours prior to your attendance and show proof by NHS text message or email after uploading your results here.

If you do not have a valid NHS Covid Pass, proof of vaccination, or proof of lateral flow negative test result in the last 24 hours, you will need to take a lateral flow test at the entrance and wait the full 30 minutes for the test results, which may mean missing part of the performance.

We are encouraging everyone to take a lateral flow test before attending a performance, even if you already have a valid NHS Covid Pass

Covid-19 ticket refund policy

·       If we have to cancel a performance, you can choose to exchange your tickets for another show or receive a full refund

·       If you have to isolate due to Covid-19 we will exchange your ticket for another show date or offer a 100% refund

Social Distancing

We have 4 reduced capacity shows for those who would feel more comfortable maintaining social distancing. For these performances, we are selling to a capacity of 300 (42% capacity) to allow for 1-meter social distancing between each group/household.

To support social distancing please arrive on site with plenty of time to be seated (at least 20-30 minutes before the show begins) and be patient when exiting at the end of the show.
