Dear Business Owner,
Notification of Road Closure, Sunday 28 August
As you may have heard, NoFit State Circus and several other local partners will be holding an event on Sunday 28 August celebrating Adamsdown and Clifton Street.
Clifton Street Festival
Sunday 28 August, all day until 5pm
NoFit State have applied to the Council to close sections of Clifton Street on this day to allow for the safe running of the event.
The closure will be in effect from 7am until 6pm on Sunday 28 August, and will impact the sections of Clifton Street from Gold & Sapphire Streets down to Iron and Diamond Streets. Access to Sapphire Street, Emerald Street, Ruby Street, Topaz Street and Diamond Street will remain possible via the streets opposite throughout the day, with no obstructions to the raised crossroads. Please refer to the map below.
In preparation for the day, will be gradually restricting access to the parking bays along the affected sections of Clifton Street from 6pm on Saturday 27 August, and we kindly ask you to avoid parking in the bays ahead of the closure. Parking will remain available on all side streets as usual, including for loading and delivery vehicles.
The Clifton Street Festival will involve circus, dance, live music, food and non-alcoholic drinks until 5pm. The event is open to everyone and all businesses along Clifton Street are invited to join us to celebrate. This could be just by coming along and taking part, or by welcoming people into your premises, or hosting a stall on the street. If you would like to participate by hosting a stall, please contact us via the contact information below and we can offer further guidance on the plans for the day.
Partners working with us on this event currently include: Rubicon Dance, Oasis Centre, Haven Foods, Tenovus Charity Shop, Trinity Centre, Railway Gardens, Adamsdown Primary School, Inkspott Arts.
