Born in North Wales, Tanwen is an international performer and teacher who enjoys mixing character and circus work. Her specialist circus skills are Flying Trapeze, Cradle, Aerial Rings, Rope, Doubles Trapeze, Harness work, Bungee and Silks.
After initially studying and completing a BTEC in Performing Arts and AS Drama at school, she soon realised a passion for physical performance. She went on to study circus; first at Circomedia in Bristol, and later at National Centre for Circus Arts in London. In 2008/09 she completed an apprenticeship with NoFit State performing around the world with the company’s international show, Tabú, and has been busy working professionally ever since.
For the last three years she has taught at the National Centre for Circus Arts in London, and now works as Head Of School for NoFit State, overseeing the entire education programme.
