Programme

Parklife at Stockton International Riverside Festival

We will be resident in Trinity Gardens, Stockton from 27th July to 1st August 2009

In the mornings, we will be training and rehearsing.

In the afternoons and evenings, we will be running free Open House sessions and meeting local performing arts and sports groups. Please check the calendar for Open House times.

During the Open House sessions all Parklife activities will be 'public' and free. You are welcome to come and watch our rehearsals and company members will be on hand to chat, host and explain what's happening. Activities will include;

  • 'Run away with the Circus' taster workshop sessions for adults (16+) - these include Men Only Hula Hoop, Whip Cracking for Women, Wire Walking, Capoeira, Rope and Tree Climbing, and Bicycle Ballet.  (NB. numbers will be limited for some of these, so please come to Trinity Gardens and sign up in advance if possible),
  • 'Talent Spot' - we believe everyone has a special talent, so please come and show us yours
  • 'Park Stories' - Tell us you stories about the park. We'd like to hear about significant or memorable things that have happened to you in the park,
  • 'Work in progress' performances, rehearsals and happenings on the set and around the park (audiences are invited to give their feedback)

There will be a public meeting at 4pm on Sunday 26th July if you would like to find out more about what's happening and how you can get involved. Alternatively, come along to any Open House session and ask for the Park Keeper.

And don't miss the spectacular free Parklife performance on Saturday 1st August, 9pm for 9.30pm start.

To find out what is on when go to our Open House Calendar.
This will be updated throughout the week, so make sure you check it in case plans change, for example because of bad weather.
