Four Elms Cabaret | Sat 15th of June

To support the development of Four Elms, our new permanent community home, some of our lovely community members who attend classes in our current John street base are joining together to produce a fundraising show. Featuring a mix of community and professional acts, the cabaret will showcase the amazing talents of the Cardiff circus family! The community members have been working hard producing new routines to dazzle and entertain you.

3 Weeks until BIANCO Tour

Rehearsals for Bianco are in full swing now, with 3 weeks to go until we open at the Roundhouse in London. The company have all arrived from all over the world, and are being put through their paces in a demanding training and rehearsal schedule. Firenza Guidi is back to re-direct the show again this year, and we’ve been seeing a lot of new impulses emerging - including new ensemble parkour and trampoline scenes. Plenty more of course, but that’s all top secret at the moment.

Meet the Family - March

NoFit States family is growing; in the past month we have welcomed 3 new staff members along with a team of new performer trainees to the team. Jodie as our new marketing officer and Clare as assistant producer and Ruth as company manager join our core staff team. Fred, Blaze, Nat, Kate and Ellie join the company on our trainee performer scheme.

Oodles of Noodles

In February we showcases a work in progress version of our new theatre show Noodles at the Riverfront in Newport. It was great opportunity to see the work developing on the stage and to try it out with full lights, audience and atmosphere. The show is still in but it was gratifying to see the audience enjoying it so much even in its raw state.

NoFit on the Street

Work on our new community home in Cardiff, Four Elms, is progressing fast and to set the scene for what an exciting space it will be once it opens we worked with Cardiff urban art painter, Bryce Davies of Peaceful Progress to create a NoFit State inspired mural for the hoardings outside of the site.

Camille spoke to Bryce about his connection with the company and his experience of the project...

NoFit in Liverpool

This month, the Black-E in Liverpool played host to a number of our performers and teachers during its 10 day NoFit State residency.

British Unicycle Convention 2013

We are thrilled to announce that tickets for the British Unicycle Convention 2013 are now on sale! The convention will be held on the 25th and 26th of May in John Street. From those that would love to have a go on a unicycle, but never have before, through to those that were born on one wheel and haven’t come off it since, there’ll be workshops in a range of styles to suit all levels.

BIANCO is coming home!

NoFit State are delighted to announce that the 2013 tour of BIANCO is supported by the Arts Council Wales and will visit four different locations in Wales. We can announce that the first venue will be the Wales Millennium Centre from 1st - 4th May, with further dates across Wales in our own spaceship big top to be confirmed. Its been two years since we last performed in the tent in Wales and we are looking forward to meeting old and new friends.

NoFit Trips

In October, NoFit State producers Ali Williams and Emily Morgan went to Circo Circolo festival in Holland. Ali was speaking about Parklife at the Social Circus seminar, which went down a storm and many people from all over Europe were interested in the Parklife model. Whilst they were there they also had the opportunity to see other wonderful productions- the highlight being Compania de Circo Eia's new show 'Capas' which was an honest and playful story of five friends whose lives interlinked in and out of an enormous wardrobe.
